HubSpot
A direct connection to a HubSpot portal. Every lead the assistant captures becomes a contact, and every time a visitor asks for a person a note lands on that contact's timeline. Nothing to build and no key to paste — one button, once, per bot. Growth and up.
For what it looks like on the contact's timeline, see the HubSpot integration page.
Connect it
Open the bot's Settings → Leads & CRM and press Connect HubSpot. HubSpot asks which portal to use and what to allow — contacts and notes, nothing else — and sends you straight back to the card, which now shows the portal it is connected to. Press Send test once: a contact named Matter Chat Test appears in the portal a few seconds later, and the card tells you whether it arrived.
What arrives
A lead
A contact, created or updated by email address. The name splits into first and last name. A note carries the topic, the message, the page it came from, and a link to the conversation.
A handoff request
A note on the same contact: the last few lines of the conversation, the page, and a link to pick it up. It needs a contact to land on, so it is added only when the visitor has left an email in that conversation.
When it does not arrive
The lead is always saved and the visitor always gets their reply; HubSpot is told afterwards. If a send fails, the card's status pill says so with the reason, and the next lead tries again — there is no queue that replays a missed one. If HubSpot revokes the connection, the card asks you to reconnect, and leads captured in between stay in the dashboard where they always were.
Already sending leads to HubSpot through Zapier? You can switch or keep both. The direct connection carries the same fields and needs no Zap to maintain; the Zap is still the way to reach anything HubSpot does that this does not — deals, custom properties, a second portal.
